The Bitter Taste

A former pentathlete is captured by an undead countess and her cursed followers. To escape the deadly hunt, she must reactivate her rusty skills in swimming, running, riding, shooting, and fencing. "There is grotesquerie galore, plenty of wild detours, and a final girl who really is put through hell before finding strength she never knew she had... this is gothic updated with a mad, maximalist spin."

— Anton Bitel, Projected Figures
